Farmers-Resource Center

Farmers-resource helps you farmers overcome the main weakness of informal economies and SME businesses of their inherent failure to grasp the 'big picture' - required for their businesses.

Often resulting in disjointed efforts, failure to properly supply consistently, shortage of funds and consequently a failure to grow.

My attempts here is to help you operate as a knowledgeable businessman - fully aware of matters needing addressing - and guard against the foregoing. Create a valuable commodity and market it well. Offer this value well and always consider the long-term value of your customer.

So let's get started, with the big picture process of this farmers-resource...

A Balanced Approach To Developing Your Business

The big picture view dictates all businesses must manage three (3) areas in order to grow and achieve any desired goal.

Founded on the common sense 'cause-and-effect' logic that must guide us. It could be restated as; nothing happens until something happens, or; you will not have a farm until you take action!

Clear the land, plant your crops and tend to them diligently. If you neglect them and weeds overtake you or customers walk away, you've got to do some serious repositioning to win them back!

With this base in mind let farmers-resource show them...

The 3-Legged Stool Of Business Growth

1. What knowledge, skills and work systems do we need, that

2. Allows us to build the right long-term capabilities and efficiencies,

3. To deliver specific value to the market?

Building these legs well allows us to enjoy the throne of 'high-farm-value'... that treasured dream!

Knowledge, Skills And Work Systems

To achieve the desired state above, how do farmers sustain their ability to change and improve?

Taro Markets for fresh taro exist but demand for 'ready-to-cook' packed-n-snap-frozen portions is rising. This tactical change requires financing, knowledge of the process, and appropriate equipment.

Demand for other interesting variations of taro including; taro powder, taro smoothies, and taro paste, also exist.

Farmers need all the necessary information to pursue these opportunities. What are the costs and benefits? How are they done? Where can one get the equipment? Which equipment is ideal? Where to process?

These and other similar warrants when made available to farmers allows them to realize the full potential of their efforts.

Answers to these will be addressed continually right here, at your farmers-resource center.

Strategic Capabilities And Efficiencies

This 'leg' represents the poser: To satisfy the farmer and his customers, what business processes must he excel at?

It's no use having the best product if you can't get them to markets. Also, with taro being a perishable commodity, why can't farmers introduce pre-packed and snap frozen taro to extend the product's reach around the world?

And with taro more carbo-denser than potatoes, meaning it slows-burns in the body allowing for more physical work, wouldn't this benefit create a demand? New markets?

Invitations to the relevant agencies are underway for conceptual approval, funding and better utilization of resources.

Stay posted when answers to these are addressed right here.

Delivering Value To Market

Markets imply customers, so; how should farmers appear to their customers - if they want to achieve their desired ends?

Of course farmers should be viewed as successful and reliable producers of products. Additionally, improved delivery modes and friendly customer service programs are important.

We must be honorable in our dealings, always intent on stimulating markets. Be proud of our products and ready to declare: "It's so good, I even drink it."

Prices are pretty much market dictated, with sufficient margins for the effort.

Again, answers to these will be addressed continually right here.

Success: Growing Market Demand

Through the foregoing we will acquire the knowledge, skills and work systems to build the right long-term capabilities and efficiencies, delivering specific value to the market.

These three steps lead to self-generated development potential; the hallmarks of great generals!

Building these legs well allows you the enjoyment of 'high-farm-value'... that treasured dream! Something you're passionate about is created.
