Bua Province
Bua province occupies the western segment of 'Vanua Levu' covering about 1,380 square kilometers - just under twice the size of Kiribati. The 2007 census recorded a population of about 14,200.
The province has vast agricultural and pine farms and indeed minerals in gold, and copper. Taro, kava, pineapples and other agricultural crops also abound and are currently being exported.
Should you wish to import Bua province's output, these can easily be transported via the main trading station at Nabouwalu where a wharf is located.
